About
Check the Receipts is a non-partisan visual reference for what's actually going on in the UK.
Every figure on this site comes from a public dataset — ONS, OBR, HMT, HMRC, and other government sources. Each page lists exactly where its numbers came from, when they were last refreshed, and what definitions were used.
No paywall. No tracking. No editorial line.
Why
Most policy debates start from disagreement about the numbers. This site tries to remove that step.
